This was an album that demanded much... late nights, creative discussions and dis/agreements, re-mastering, and learning the intricacies of our sound whilst in the studio! All the while having jobs and doing the recording "after hours" so to speak. But we as a band are incredibly proud of what we have produced here, and are happy of the statement it makes. We are based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and recorded it at our producer, Keith's, studio based in the SABC studio complex. Anyone who knows the SABC will tell you that the studios are a maze in the depths of the large organisation. It took us multiple visits to finally find our way to Keith's studio unaided. Yet, the SABC studios are a gem of a recording space with some seriously old skool design and materials helping to capture a warm inviting sound. We hope that you will likewise experience your own journey with this album by being immediately captivated by the warmth of the recording, song writing and performance, and yet equally enjoy spending time to uncover its depths.
